Week 23

A lighthouse by the sea in Stockholm.

Found a lighthouse on a short hike today from Skärholmen to Vinterviken. R, A, and I didn’t make it all the way and had to get off around Axelsberg, so I think this lighthouse is somewhere near or before there. Spent this week trying to find a metaphorical lighthouse, with so much of everything up in flux again - starting with the search for yet another apartment move in August. It feels a bit hard to really settle down in this country when you have to move every 8 months or so and you’re not yet ready to buy. Still, on the other hand, things feel like they’re starting to turn a corner in other areas of life and work. Will it stay like that? Hard to say, but a clearer path is emerging in some parts.

I continued to bike so much more this week! I might even have a nice road bike soon, and maybe a yellow retro bike project that I definitely don’t need but might still pick up anyway — because why the hell not. Saw a solid movie for the week, based on the true story of a Norwegian spy, Number 24 (highly recommend), and though serious doubts still remain about the effectiveness (or lack thereof) of a good health regimen in my life, but it’s good to know that despite a super limited neck mobility, a paining thumb, and body fatigue I still tried to make the best of the long weekend.
